celebrating 1 year, one more time

since the koz fam was in town for the wedding, we decided to have a min celebration for our mini. it was her first taste of ice cream cake (and yay mary is finally on just milk!) i think it was a bit too cold for her grabbing tastes. so she let daddy feed her

ouch

4-6 weeks and counting

(tho i have to wear this pain in the rear bandage for 2 wks,gr)
by now. my middle and ring fingers are purpley black from bruising and mary cannot contain the
joy of trying to either hit or bite down on my hand.

kyle and stacey wedding, for real this time

my hand is a little too throbbing right now to write anything clever, or to really write anything at all...i'm just trying to stay dedicated
so you know: stacey had flower head wreaths made for the little girls. mary was tired and hungry, perfect equation to equal crab cake. but her sad/angry face is too adorable
and stacey looked gorgeous
welcome to the fam! grandma koz taught stacey the hawaiian wedding dance and she looked absolutely amazing! that takes guts for sure. (i took a video of it and tried posting bt right now blogger does not like me)

some more pics for your viewing pleasure

(i swear me and jessica did not strategically plan out our outfits)
everyone wanted to dance with mary
here's the gorgeous cake (tho the happy couple opted out of cake smashing)

their first dance!

by the end of it all, mary was definitely pooped out.

It's almost Halloween!

So, as per the usual, Richard and Julie hosted their annual pumpkin carving extravaganza. Seriously, it is a fest, complete with so many carving tools you never knew existed, paint, and elaborate patterns to punch out onto your pumpkin.
Mary didn't nap well today so she was cranky. Brent and I decided to opt for simpler designs this year. So while looking through the books available, I found the PERFECT design. So here is my tribute to Twilight the movie, which hits theaters Nov. 21. Woohoo. Forgive me for not giving Edward the tousled bronze hair he deserves (haha) and golden eyes (oh boy) because well, paint was limited. I had a lot of funy laughing over that pumpkin. Please don't think I'm some obsessed TwiHard or whatever. I just couldn't resist ;)

Brent went with some boring ghosts. Just kidding, darling. He did a good job, poking and sawing away the night well after I finished.
Mary was only annoyed for a bit, but then discovered the joys of playing with all her second cousins (is that right?) and great aunt and great grandma.

For those of you who didn't know about my hand: I have a torn or split or whatever tendon in my right hand. After countless x-rays, an mri, and so much blood drawn my poor hands were black and blue, the results were...inconclusive? I don't know. They don't know. Who knows the cause? Well, I have surgery scheduled for Nov. 7 to get it all sewn up and repaired. Yippee. (Please not the sarcasm) Luckily, the Koz fam will all be here for Kyle's wedding, so they can take care of Mary while I come down from my medically induced high. Unfortunately, this means a lack of posts from me. Typing one handed is incredibly difficult and use of my right hand will be restricted as it heals. And we all know Brent won't be doing any updating. Geesh, can you imagine? He does not get the whole blog thing, other than reading over what I right and enjoying the vids and pics of Mary. He'd probably break the blog or something. just kidding. So there's some small news for those of you who are avid readers of this.

1 year appointment

I'm still finding it hard to believe Mary is 1.
Today she met with her doctor to get some more immunizations (she did not like those. She never cried that much before. poor baby)
Well it seems she is indeed growing.
Height: 28 1/2" She is now in the 30% for that. Wow, she had a growth spurt!
Weight: 18.3 lbs So from the 7 to 10% I thought she'd be bigger since she eats like a cow.
Head circumferance: 46 1/2 cen. She's now in the 85% which has gone down. She's growing into that big head of hers I guess. But she does use that big brain to be sneaky and naughty (I know some of you think she can't be naughty, but trust us when we say she is. She just uses her cute looks to get away with it.)
Case in point:
Today Mary decided she wanted to try and pull Daddy's laptop off the couch. We both told her no in a very stern voice. Mary sat down in a hurry and cried. It was adorable, but silly that she gets so upset at being told. I think it's because our friends let her get away with murder. lol
So there's an update! More news to follow!
