I went down to Vegas on Friday to visit Brent. My flight landed at 10pm and it was still 97 degrees. I can't even believe it. The weather was so disgusting, with heat so thick it felt like smoke. My eyes burned and I felt so tired from the sun beating down on me. But it was worth it to see Brent. We didn't go to the strip or anything, just relaxed, saw Pirates of the Carribean, swam, etc. We also went to the Cheesecake Factory. It's been so long since I've been there. It was really yummy. We even got to visit Stephanie St. I look really wide in the picture because of the jacket and the swimsuit, but I'm not that wide in reality.
I left Monday morning, much to the disappointment of Brent. But i drove back to Provo with his cousin's wife, who incidentally is due the day before me, so at least I wasn't by myself. By the end of the 5 1/2 hour drive my feet were so swollen. It makes me sad. My fingers are also getting swollen so I can't really wear all my rings. It's really frustrating that the only comfy shoes are flip flops but I can't wear those to work. And I don't want to not wear my rings either. Other than that, I'm feeling good.
I got my hair done last week. I put blonde highlights in to make it a little bit more summery. I didn't cut too much off, because I'm still trying to grow it long. You can't tell too much in this picture so I'll have to take another one where you can really see it. It's kind of exciting. Tomorrow's the 4th and I'm going to Stadium of Fire with Brent's aunt and uncle and cousins. It should be fun but Provo is around the 100 degree mark so it'll be uncomfortable. The fireworks show is always beautiful. People have already started camping out along University Ave for the parade. Apparently they've been out there for several days. I don't see what the big deal is. It's not that great of a parade. Well, Happy 4th to all and there's more to come!
