Recently, Mary has discoverd that she likes to kick and flail in the bath becaus it makes splashes. I decided to film it today and she absolutey was having the time of her life. I'm glad she likes bathing because in the beginning I thought she hated it. She is the cutest little girl!
I'm just so grateful for our little sweetheart!
Today Camber made the trek from SLC to Provo so that Mary and Camdon could hang out (as well as us two mothers of course). I think Mary and Camdon really enjoyed each other's company.
For my baby shower, Camber gave Mary a very sweet pink John Deere outfit (hat, onesie, overalls, and jacket). It says it fits 0 to 6 months, but Mary is on the small side (just in the 25%) and so today she got to wear it for the first time (it's still quite large on her). Camdon wore one of his John Deere outfits too. They looked very cute together.

On Saturday the 23rd, Tyler got married to his wonderful new wife, Jessica. It was a beautiful ceremony and a very fun reception. The newly married couple looked great; not only from their wedding attire but also from their glowing smiles after finally getting married. 
(in case you're wondering where Brent and I are: Brent was in the bathroom and I was taking the picture)
Brent and I almost didn't make it on time! I was supposed to have the day off, but during the process of transferring over to the pharmacy, my time off request didn't make it over. By the time I realized it, I was already scheduled and didn't want to leave them up a creek for the day. Brent's manager already had the day off, and since there are only 4 people in the meat department, once someone has the day off, that's it (as a side note, sorry if there are way too many commas thrown in randomly. It's late and the grammar part of my brain has shut down). So I got off at 2:30 and Brent at 3:30. The wedding was at 5 and in Sandy. I had to run a few errands (picking up things to decorate the newlyweds' car with) and since it takes me a while to get ready...Anyway, we got up there at 5:03 I think, just in time for Brent to get into position for the ceremony.
Of course, the reception can get a little tiring from the standpoint of the bride and groom (I've been there, done that) especially when they're standing in their line. 
Mary really enjoyed herself. She got to meet some great aunts for the very first time, and I'm pretty sure they feel madly in love with her (who can resist the charm of our sweet Mary?)
But unfortunately, Mary couldn't stay up as late as she wanted to partake in the wedding festivities. She crashed out, several times, only to try and wake up to enjoy her surroundings some more.
One of the best parts of the reception was all the dancing. Jessica and her father danced to "My Girl," Tyler and Julie danced to "Because You Loved Me," and Tyler and Jessica danced to "Wonderful Tonight."
(It may be hard to tell, but I was trying to get creative with my camera by using this light switch affects...The string of lights look like hearts for Ty and Jessica and like diamonds for Ty and Julie)
Brent, Kyle, Dana and I had a lot of fun decorating Tyler and Jessica's car. I won't include all the racey pictures (haha). I hope they enjoyed it!

So for those of you who read our blog and are concerned about Mary, she is okay. She must have just gotten some little virus or bug. Who knows?! What's great is that even throughout her little sickness, Mary would smile and laugh (not as much, but still). For instance, Tiggy must have known Mary wasn't feeling well so he came and sat by her one morning. Mary started smiling and giving him little giggles of delight. She just loves him!
Mary had her 4 month checkup (can you believe it?!) and we are happy to report that she is growing well. She is 12lbs even and 23 1/4" long. She's in the 25% for both, just a little thing. I had her laughing in the doctor's right before the nurse came in to administer the vaccines. Good thing I got her in a good mood, because after those shots, Mary was not pleased. It didn't help that the appointment was in the middle of when one of her naps should be. But as soon as I held her and rocked her a bit, she calmed down enough to be put in her car seat and sleep peacefully on the car ride home.
Well, sad story everyone. Mary is sick. It all started yesterday when she woke up from her afternoon nap. I picked her up out of her crib and she was burning up, or at least it felt like it. I took her temperature at it was 100.2 degrees. So needless to say I was freaking out. I gave her some infant tylenol and after about an hour or so her temperature went down to a normal range. But later that night it spiked again. I had called a nurse who said if it lasted 24 hours to bring her in. Luckily the sickness didn't keep her from sleeping last night. I was really worried we'd be up all night with her. So today she woke up and her fever was back. More tylenol, it went down. But I called and set up an appointment with our pediatrician. We went in and she doesn't have an ear infection. I guess it's good and bad news: good because she doesn't have an ear infection, bad because if it was then the doctor could prescribe something. So we're just continuing our tylenol regiment. She seems to be doing better though. It's really sweet just cuddling her. She just wants to spend time with mommy and daddy and her lovey (dog blanket). That thing is one of the most comforting things to her. The doctor thinks we'll have a long night with her but I think she'll still sleep fine (at least I hope so...,). So we'll keep you updated on how she's feeling. Hopefully she's better before Tyler's wedding. I'm thinking it's just a little bug because she's still smiling at us and even laughed at Tiggy this morning. I just want her to get better soon because I can't stand having her upset and sick!
So as I mentioned in an earlier post, Mary has started laughing. Before it was just an every once in awhile kind of thing. It seems though, that over night she has become the best laugher. Today while I was changing Mary we were listening to one of her Leap Frog cds about sounds. I was making a bah sound at her and for some reason she thought it was hilarious! She laughed and laughed and laughed to her little heart's content. When Brent got home from work, I told him to try it and she gave him some giggles too. They weren't quite as hardy because she was getting sleepy and ready for bed. Hope you enjoy!
My parents sent out a Valentine's gift for Mary and Brendan, a cute teddy bear! Mary loves it. I think the fur reminds her of her dog that she snuggles everytime she goes to sleep. Unfortunately,Tiggy really loves it too. We had it in Mary's room when all of a sudden I see Tiggy running as fast as he can with the bear in his mouth! I think it reminds him of this goat puppet that yodels that goat herder song from The Sound of Music which my parents also got for Mary. Anyway, now we have to either keep her door shut or hide the bear under blankets to keep Tiggy from stealing it. Since we didn't post yesterday (we both had to work), enjoy these loveable pictures in honor of Valentine's day!
So now that Mary is starting to "talk" more, she slobbers more and more. It's really fun to watch. Earlier today I was walking around Babies R Us with Mary and she was talking and making other noises while we looking at different things. I had to keep getting out the burp cloth to wipe all her spit. She really enjoys making this noise that sounds similar to raspberries, just without sticking her tongue out. And when she makes that kind of noise, the spit is even more abundant.
In other Mary news, Mary rolled over from her tummy to her back! It was amazing! I put her on her tummy and she rolled over again. It's funny when she's on her tummy now because she tries so hard to push herself over that she gets angry. She grunts and complains and carries on. She's still working on mastering that skill, so when I tried to tape her doing again, she wouldn't. But Tiggy wanted in on the action.
And last but not least, Mary is learning to pull her pacifier out and put it back in all by herself. She sometimes gets distracted by her hands but it's so fun to watch!
I just wanted to try out some of the featuers. Here's some pictures taken with the color swap option on my camera. Unfortunately, the reddish color swap didn't work so well because it picked up the red tones of Mary's skin and the bamboo rug. So the pictures look a bit "boyish."
Last week or so, we got this toy for Mary. It's a 3-in-1 mat that lets her do tummy time, but also allows her to be on her back with toys dangling above her and then converts into a tunnel type thing for when she's old enough to crawl. It has an aquarium theme and one of the fish plays music. Mary really likes it, and whenever I press the button for her she lights up in a smile.
Mary also is doing baby crunches more and more often. She so badly wants to pull herself up to sit. Sometimes she grunts and turns red from the strain and effort of trying. Poor little one, she wants to be bigger than she is!
In other news, Mary really enjoys pulling her pacifier out of her mouth now. She also tries really hard to get it back in, but usually gets the plastic part or just her hand in her mouth instead. It's funny at night when we hear her start to bawl after putting her down. We'll walk in, and there she is, flailing her little arms around in annoyance because she's pulled her pacifier out and can't get it back in. Poor Mary. Almost, but not quite. I'll try to get a video of it. It's hard because she likes to stop what she's doing whenever I pull the camera out.
Elder Kozlowski, I mean Kyle, is going home tomorrow (which incidently is Brent's birthday. Kyle's release is the perfect gift for him)! I can't believe it's been two years already. Tonight was Kyle's final testimony meeting and family and friends were invited to attend. Honestly, most of the missionaries went on and on in more of a sacrament meeting talk style (if that makes sense). Kyle's was really one of the only testimonies given, and it was very good.
Unfortunately, Mary was really cranky because it was getting past her bedtime and I had a migraine for most of the meeting. Mary did enjoy meeting her uncle though. She stopped her cranky cries just for him. 
Although I think Tide to Go absolutely stinks (literally), the commercial is absolutely hilarious! Hope you enjoy!
We received some weird Leap Frog cd in the mail awhile back with song for babies and toddlers and I played it the other day while I was changing Mary. One of the songs is about babies moving (hence the title of this post). Mary must have really liked the song because she can't stop from moving. She's constantly kicking her little legs and really enjoys that it slows me from changing her diaper. I believe she now likes being naked whenever possible. It was bound to happen I guess, and it will probably only get worse once summer hits and she realizes how hot our little apartment is with no central air.
